I'm a recent University graduate that is thinking about going into a trade. I regret my career choice, because I realized I don't want to work on my computer all day in a high stress field. Do you think it is worth it? Are there any trades that have decent pay and very little stress and are easy to get into? You want to get into corporate and social events. Sometimes you'll be mixing for a wedding band. Sometimes it will just be done folks at a microphone. You can work your way up to bigger things through this, but they all pay well. In a larger market you'll typically get see anywhere from $40-100/hour plus overtime and all that. Is it easy? I still think that getting into a trade right out of high school is a good thing. It gets you making money, you can start becoming independent, etc. If I were king for a day, I’d require a three-year gap between high school and university, during which time you could work a trade, serve in military or civil service, whatever.
